I am a professional organizer with 16 years of design experience. I started my organizing business in 2014 in an effort to help people who struggle with organization. I enjoy helping my clients fall in love with their home again while helping them recoup the time, money, and peace that is lost to disorganization.
I’m excited to work with Closet Factory to provide my clients with the best designs that meet their organizational needs with a product that meets the highest standards of quality.
A little fun fact about me is that I won an award for “The Most Organized Student” in fifth grade. I love all things related to design and organization but my most favorite things in life are friends and family.
“One of Lou Anne’s many strengths is that she has helped me create a space that reflects my interests, tastes and even includes the preferences of my sweet dog! My home is 80 years old, but it feels like a new home to me, and I am extremely grateful!”

“How do you first approach a space? In other words, what’s the first thing you think about when you first see a client’s closet space/storage problem?”
“What is the biggest design obstacle you’ve overcome? i.e. awkwardly angled walls, electrical sockets in bizarre places, big collections in small spaces.”
The biggest challenges I’ve faced with design are small spaces with big needs!
“Since collaboration is such an integral part of the design process, how do you like to engage or connect with clients in order to help them realize their vision for a space?”
I try to really get to know my clients through questions. I’m listening for their hearts desires, not just their needs. I like to flip through magazines with them and see what catches their attention. Then I try to work with their budget to bring that image to life.
“How are you inspired by a home’s existing décor? Is there anything specific that you look for during an in-home consultation?”
I take note of furniture pieces specifically. I like to know if they are family pieces or if the owner has selected them. It helps guide me toward their style.
“What are some ways a custom designed home office can improve productivity? In other words, how does the right type of home office help people do business?”
Having things quickly accessible when you need them increases productivity. With a custom design the desk and office work for you because things have a home where you use them most often.
“What are some modern organizational trends, or what’s a trend you’re looking for?”
In the organization world, there is a strong trend toward minimalism. I’m neither for or against it. I’m here to help guide my client in the direction they want to go. If they are interested in minimalism that is the path we will take. If a client isn’t interested in minimalism, the end goal is still the same. It is always the goal to provide a proper organizational solution for their belongings so that they know what they have and where it is when they need it.
